Well done Kate and Peter from the MKA Panthers, who were selected to represent the Kent squad for Sports Hall Athletics at the South East regional finals at Burgess Hills Olympos Centre on February 14th 2010.

Teams from Berkshire, the Channel Islands, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex and Kent competed in the under13 and Under 15 categories, all fielding their strongest teams for the event.

Both the Panthers worked to the best of their ability, Peter competed in 4x1lap relay, 4x2lap realy and the speed bounce where he achieved his best of 73 jumps in 30 seconds and 4th place in this event missing a bronze medal by 1 Jump!

Kate took part in the obstacle relay which the kent team finished second in, 4x1lap relay and the standing long jump, where she jumped a personal best of 2m17cm finishing 4th and missing the bronze medal by 1cm.

The girls under 13 team including Kate went onto win the competition for the first time with 594 points and will go onto to represent the South East at the Nationals held at the Birmingham NEC.

We wish her luck for this and can't wait to go to Birmingham to support her and the Kent team in this event.
